With 2024 in the rearview, it’s time to consider the potential for computing and the Windows PC in 2025.
Due in large part to AI, last year was transformative and pushed the possible boundaries of Windows PCs = whether at home or in the workplace. AI is revolutionizing how we utilize PCs, and the influence is likely only beginning. For many, the safest and most effective way to experience the benefits of AI may be with a new Windows 11 PC.

Building on Windows 11 – arguably the most secure version of Windows – Microsoft introduced the Copilot+ PC. These new PCs were the most intelligent and most rapid Windows PCs ever made available. This extended the power of AI from the cloud to a user PC, allowing innovative experiences. This AI-enabled PC breakthrough has been enthusiastically embraced by clients.

Microsoft’s collaborations with the most significant players in the market has allowed them to rethink how users create, produce and minimize task load. These exceptionally performant and secure Windows 11 PCs have set a new bar for intelligence, security, and speed – all with unparalleled battery life. Copilot+ PCs are up to five times faster than the majority of Windows PCs still in use today.

“Microsoft and Qualcomm Technologies share the same vision of empowering users with powerful, seamless AI experiences, marking a significant step forward in the PC industry. The advancement of Copilot+ PCs powered by Snapdragon® X Series processors set a new standard in performance and security, providing customers with unparalleled experiences and capabilities.” Don McGuire, Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, Qualcomm Incorporated.

As AI-enabled tech continues to evolve and elevate user experience and productivity, the constant remains the requirement for a safe, high-quality Windows 11 PC to have access to all things AI. With ever-expanding features now available in preview for the Windows Insider Community, Microsoft acknowledges the responsibility to protect our customers and their information. Because security is such a high priority for Microsoft, the Secured-core PCs deliver reinforced protection against attacks. Copilot+ PCs ship with an increasing roster of security features that are enabled by default, developed to radically reduce the possibility of sophisticated cyber-attacks and offering significantly enhanced data protection.

“At AMD, we’re excited to lead the way in this transformative era of computing, partnering with Microsoft to bring AI to every person, at home and at work. With Windows 11 and the new Copilot+ PC category, we’re delivering unmatched performance, security and responsible AI. Together, we’re empowering customers and partners to achieve more while ensuring the highest standards for privacy, compliance and enterprise security. The future is full of opportunity, and we’re just getting started.” Jack Huynh, SVP & GM, Computing and Graphics Group, AMD

The Path Forward with Windows 11

Windows 10 is slated to reach the end of its lifecycle in October of 2025. After then, Windows 10 PCs will no have access to security or feature updates. Microsoft has pledged to help customers remain protected by upgrading to new PCs running Windows 11. Whether the existing PC requires a refresh, or it has security vulnerabilities that need the most up-to-date hardware-backed protection, the time has come to make the change to a Windows 11 PC.

According to IDC, four out of five companies are planning to refresh their PC inventory by EOY 2025 – and 70% of individual users will refresh their PCs in the next 24 months. These plans point to the growing demand for secure, advanced AI-enabled hardware – and Windows 11 PCs will rise to that challenge. With new apps added daily, developers are using AI’s power to deliver innovative experiences to Windows 11 and Copilot+ PCs. (ChatGPT and the native Copilot app.)

According to their website, Microsoft believes that Windows 11 is being made available at an opportune time, delivering the advanced AI capabilities and security advantages that customers expect in 2025 and forward. The momentum in the Windows ecosystem should prove to ensure that 2025 is a year filled with potential for the Windows 11 PC.
